Almost every guy has that one guy friend who is his ‘partner-in-crime’. These friendships sometimes have bonds stronger than marriage vows and are usually life-long. They’re cut to watch, but can be annoying if they eat into your romantic time. Here’s how to deal with one:
- Do things that you both like to do
Rather than attempt to play Diablo 3, or make him watch another chick flick, sign up for a cooking class or go for a couples massage. By participating in activities that you both enjoy, you’ll naturally have more chances with your boyfriend.
- Get him to plan fun date nights with positive encouragement
Once you’ve planned out a few super fun date nights, ideally he should reciprocate with some ideas of his own. But if your guy one of those who are typically slower on picking up cues, remind him of fun dates that the both of you have been on. Encourage him with positive reinforcement and this will prompt him to pull his weight without you having to nag.
- If he’s not willing to spend time with you, he’s probably not the best person for you
Finding someone who is open to listening to your needs is one of the most crucial factors of a long-lasting relationship. So if he doesn’t want to take out time for you, perhaps it’s time to reconsider if he might be right guy for you.
