If your man is showing a lack of interest in sex, the explanation for it is likely to have nothing to do with how he feels about you. Here are some common reasons that may be why he’s saying ‘No’.

1. He’s suffering from depression

Men of all ages, even teens, are not immune to a lower sex drive when struggling with a mood disorder. The most important thing to do here is to have patience. If he doesn’t feel comfortable talking to you about it, encourage him to talk to someone else, such as a friend or a doctor.

2. He’s stressed about work

Worrying about work can be a real mood killer for many men, especially ambitious ones who equate professional success with self-worth. If you suspect that this is the reason, find a time when it’s good to engage in a deep conversation with him. Ask if there’s anything you can do to support him, but make sure to be clear that his demanding relationship is taking a toll on the relationship.

3. He’s exhausted

When your man is absolutely exhausted, it’s important not to take it too personally. By making the issue about you, you may be doing more harm than good. Instead, prepare a healthy environment to discuss about what’s going on in his life that is making him so tired. If the problem persists for more than six weeks, consider getting help from a therapist or physician.
