What to look for in moisturising hair products:

Look for creamy formulas that contain moisturising ingredients such as shea butter or panthenol. Once a week, apply a mask with natural oils – look out for products with ingredients like avocado and oil and leave it on for ten minutes.

If you’ve tried everything, and still find your hair lacklustre, here’s what you might be doing wrongly:

1. You’re brushing your hair while its wet: Since wet hair is more elastic, it can snap and break more easily. Use a wide-toothed comb, which is gentler on wet hair to avoid damage.

2. You’re using too much heat: Test the heat of the blow dryer by directing it across the inner part of your arm. If you feel like your skin is burning, it means its too hot for your hair. Keep the heat intense enough to dry your hair without burning your hair. Keep your blow dryer in a constant moition and never blow dry without a nozzle!

3. You're using the wrong brushes: Metal ceramic and ionic brushes warm up when used with a blow dryer, and can indirectly burn your hair. Instead, opt for a wooden brush with less-harsh nylon or boar bristles.
